"VM Cosmetics was founded in 2021, by Vilma & Ruyon Meek, a Greater Toronto Area based entrepreneurial couple, who are passionate about natural skincare. Vilma was inspired by her younger sister who had recently battled and successfully beat cancer. She started researching the benefits of plant-based products, and organic oils. She then started experimenting with different ingredients in her basement lab, to create chemical free skin care, that would help cleanse internally and externally. 

Ruyon, her husband and partner of 40+ years decided to jump in head first, and start managing the day-to-day operations of the business. This was a natural fit for Ruyon, as he had recently retired from a 16-year career as an operations manager at Canada’s busiest airport. Ruyon, oversees everything from order fulfillment, shipping and Health Canada approvals.

Vilma previously spent over 25+ years in the cosmetics industry, primarily as a cosmetics manager for one of Canada’s largest retailers. Helping everyday people make educated choices about the type of products they put on their skin. VM Cosmetics continues this work, by providing natural, gentle and healing effective skincare products, that people can trust."
